We hope you enjoyed the February break and were able to spend some special time together as a family. We’re looking forward to resuming classes this week and hearing all about your vacation adventures!

Field Trip Information:
We’re excited to remind you about our upcoming field trip to Arion Press in San Francisco on Thursday, March 5. Please arrive promptly at 8:45 am, as the bus will leave no later than 9:00 am. We expect to return to school at approximately 2:00 pm. Students should bring a sack lunch and a water bottle.

Testing Information

As a reminder, standardized testing will take place across the Moreland School District during May. Students in grades 3–8 will participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). All assessments will be completed on Chromebooks, which will be provided to the Home Study Program for our use.

If you’d like to preview the types of questions students will see, the state offers an Online Practice and Training Tests Portal.  ​We will hold HSP testing sessions in our classroom during the weeks of May 4 and May 11. A detailed HSP testing schedule will be shared in next month’s newsletter. Enrichment classes will not be held during testing weeks.

​

The March Conference Schedule is now available! We encourage you to sign up for your preferred family conference time as soon as possible, as spots tend to fill quickly.

​

Finally, please note that the Moreland School District will be closed on Friday, March 13, for staff development. Writing classes will not be held on this day.

​
